Madrona Manor Hosts Sonoma County Brogan Cellars Winemaker Dinner on May 3

Healdsburg, CA (PRWEB) April 21, 2012

Wine and food enthusiasts are invited to join Margi Wierenga, proprietor and winemaker of Brogan Cellars, for a special Winemaker Dinner on May 3, 2012, at Madrona Manor. Nestled in the hills of Napa Valley, Madrona Manor is renowned for its award-winning restaurant. Its Winemaker Dinners are always an elegant and inspirational experience, especially when shared with family or good friends.

The Brogan Cellars Winemaker Dinner will treat guests to five delicious courses, perfectly paired with five of Wierenga?s favorite wines. As guests enjoy their pairings, Wierenga will share her winemaking process, giving her audience a rare glimpse into the life of the winemaker.

Reservations for the dinner can be made by calling Madrona Manor at (707) 433-4231. The cost is $ 150 per person, and seating begins at 6:30 pm. Guests who take advantage of the Madrona Manor?s room specials may also attend a more intimate pre-dinner reception with the winemaker.

Bogan Cellars is a family-run winery in Healdsburg, California that makes Zinfandel, Syrah, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and a celebrated Pinot Noir. Established in 1998 by Wierenga, Brogan Cellars is a small mom-and-pop winery arranged under a carport roof in Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley.

No stranger to winemaking, Wierenga worked at her father?s Williams Selyem Estate Vineyard as a teenager and eventually moved on to open her own operation, which now distributes wines to restaurants and wine bars across California and keeps a 1,500-case production.

Wierenga?s main focus is acquiring the best grapes she can buy from some outstanding properties including Lone Redwood Ranch, Morning Dew Ranch (owned by her father), and Teldeschi Vineyards. Her hands-on approach to winemaking and careful handling of the grapes helps Wierenga extract the best flavors from each vineyard.

?We?re excited to feature Margi at our next Winemaker Dinner, because she has such an interesting background in winemaking and her insight is sure to add an inspiring aspect to the evening,? says Kevin West, manager of Madrona Manor. ?Her wine picks are going to be excellent complements to Chef Mallgren?s courses, as well.?

Nestled in an elegant Victorian estate that is known as one of the finest luxury hotels in Napa or Sonoma counties, the restaurant of Madrona Manor is run by Chef Jesse Mallgren, who has total creative control over the kitchen.

Since 1999, Chef Mallgren has been creating inspired cuisine at the Healdsburg fine dining restaurant. He specializes in superb new California cuisine based on a classic French foundation of sauces and stock punctuated by global influences. Chef Mallgren honed his culinary skills alongside some of the most esteemed names in the culinary world, including Jeremiah Tower and Gary Danko. He is known in culinary circles for his unconventional ingredient pairings.

Under Chef Mallgren, Madrona Manor has become one of the most celebrated places in Sonoma or Napa for fine dining. The restaurant was recently awarded its 5th Michelin Star in a row. Additional honors include a 27 Zagat rating and ?Zagat Top Spot? award, inclusion on OpenTable?s list of the top 100 ?Best Overall? restaurants in the U.S., a Top 100 Bay Area Restaurants honor from the San Francisco Chronicle in 2009, and glowing reviews from Wine Spectator and the Press Democrat, among others.

Select Mobile Bottling Line Come to RoxyAnn Winery, June 2009. The trailer backed up to the crush pad and hooked up to the tanks. We used a mobile bottling trailer from Select Mobile Bottlers of Napa, CA. The automated line ran great and was a blast to watch. Mobile bottling give us a chance to bottle in a fast, efficient way, with minimum time elapsing between the first bottle and the last, resulting in a more consistent bottle of wine throughout. Quality is our first and foremost consideration. The mobile bottling line insures that each bottle of RoxyAnn wine will be consistent from start to finish, resulting in a better wine for you! In addition, the mobile bottling line allows us to save time, space and money. The cost of the bottling line is offset by the savings in man-hours (labor), as the line can process in a single day what normally would takes days.
